Various types of special mills (ball mill and vibration mill) for coal water slurry have been developed in China, which can basically meet the requirements of preparation of coal water slurry. The maximum capacity of coal water slurry mill in China is 150,000 tons per year. With the expansion of pulping scale, it is necessary to further develop large and efficient ball mills to reduce pulping costs.
Combining with the construction of slurry plant in coal preparation plant is a valuable experience created by China in developing coal water slurry industry, which has not been adopted in other countries up to now. When a coal preparation plant builds a slurry plant, fine coal products of the coal preparation plant can be used as far as possible, and many public facilities such as coal receiving, coal storage, special railway lines and water and electricity supply can be shared with the coal preparation plant, thus reducing capital investment.
